Studying or practicing herbalism is a vibrant, deeply fulfilling and action-oriented art, and is easily accessible to most people. While there is a wealth of information to be found through online learning and in books, there’s something to be said for tapping into the plant community around you. 

As we carve out our individual herbal paths, there are many directions we can choose to go. Every herbalist has their own “way” of practicing herbalism, making the herbalism field vast and diverse. When choosing an herbal studies program or a way to engage your herbal skills in the world, it is important to consider both community and clinical herbal approaches.
